Why is my payment not going through?

Please check that you have filled out all the necessary fields on the donation form. If there is still a problem you can get in touch with our supporter services team by emailing giving@kcl.ac.uk.

Are my donations eligible for Gift aid?

Yes. King’s College London has charitable status for all UK tax purposes. So if you are eligible for the Gift Aid scheme King’s can claim an extra 25% on donations you have made in the last four years and on future donations once we receive your declaration.

Please note that we do not have a charity registration number because King’s is an exempt charity under Schedule 2 of the Charities Act 1993. For more information please go to the HMRC Website.

Will my gift be acknowledged?

Yes, shortly after you make your gift online you will receive an email acknowledgement letting you know your donation has been processed. Sometimes this can be caught in email filters, therefore please check your junk mail if you can’t see this in your inbox.

Can I see my gift on the website?

Yes, if you have selected to make your gift visible, you will be able to see you name alongside other alumni and donors on the Donor Wall.

How do I update my details?

You can update your details at any time by emailing giving@kcl.ac.uk. Due to the impact of COVID-19 we can’t currently update details by telephone.

I would like to donate to the Shape the Quad appeal, but see a different name included on the donor wall

Please contact giving@kcl.ac.uk to arrange for a different name than the one you made the donation with to be shown on the donor wall. The team will also be able to give advice on the different levels of recognition.
